Headband: Replacing the thinking cap, this band made of the same
technology is a prototype, and more comfortable and more sensitive than the
older cap. There is an unfinished
add-on chip too, which will be able to block out telepathy, but it is still
untested. This headband is also the instrument which allows Jace to bond
with the lunatic, feeding the sensors and engines directly into his brain, and
increasing his dexterity and perception and reaction time ten-fold.

Background:
Jace has grown up in a military family, and he attended a
military school. As soon as he was old enough, he enlisted in the UN Air
Force, and before he had even been able to see much action in the war, the
'Visitor' crashed down. Being very close to his uncle, Emil Lang, he was
brought along to explore the SDF-1. Several years later, when the SDF-2
project began, he was one of the first chosen to be in the protecting squadron
for Luna Base Apollo. In 2009 he took the position of Commander of the
Lunar Defense Force.

In 2012, when the SDF-2 was sent down to Earth, the Lunar
Defense Force was disbanded. In 2015, shortly after the destruction of the
SDF-1 and 2, and during the reformation of the Earth's forces, Jace had the LDF
restored, and declared it's independence from the REF, and the ASC, but still
under the direction of the UEG. They returned back to the Lunar Base and
restored it back to operational use. Jace took up his engineering
abilities again and they began using the early-fashioned protoculture
factory in the Apollo base again. They began making their own Veritechs,
their own starships, and their own weapons.
Just before the launching of the SDF-3, Lang and Jace, in
cooperation with Neo Lockheed Martin, finished their ultimate project veritech,
the VF/X-11. Jace began modifying it to his own customs, and even has his
own specialized version of the thinking cap put into a simple headband.
His Callsign MegaMan derives from a weaponry project he
headed up back in 2007.
Jace is a martial arts expert, in all fields, and his mecha
can do anything he can on it's scale. He is a fully Azended pilot, and
therefore linked directly to the Lunatic when he is wearing the headband.
his reaction time while linked is .08 seconds, and there is ZERO latency between
his thoughts and the mecha's movements. This works
especially well because he and the other dark knights have been exposed to high
levels of protoculture. The protoculture has the ability to act as a
super-adrenaline and increases his reaction time to almost instantaneous, if not
in the negatives from a slight sense of telepathy.
It is rumored that The LDF wishes to declare it's independence
from the UEG soon.

Vehicle Type: Experimental
Stealth Veritech
Speed: 4320mph (Mach 6) in forward flight, and 450mph in
reverse/braking flight. Can 'supercruise' (fly without afterburners) at
over Mach 4. Mobility Limits: Max atmospheric pitch and banking is -25 to +40 Gee's. Terminal Velocity in space, un-boosted, is 29,000 miles per hour. Dimensions:

3) Air/Space-Cooled 105mm Sub-Machinegun Cannons
The Lunatic has 2 submachine guns built onto the expansion
pivots. Where the booster pack would be mounted, the bracing for
the submachine guns is. When the torso 'breaks' into Battloid
mode, the brace pushes the guns over onto the shoulders. Each Sub
Machine Gun has 90 M.D.C. and the brace has 100 M.D.C. The Brace
has 500 rounds contained in it, and each gun fires short (1 second) bursts
of 10 (30 M.D.), a long (2 second) burst of 20 rounds (60 M.D.), or a full melee
(4 seconds) blast of (120 M.D.). A single bullet does 3
MD. Reload takes 1 full melee. This Weapon has
been designated the UZI-X19. The Primary Purpose of this weapon is
Assault, Secondary Purpose is Anti-Missile.
If the Pilot wishes, he may remove the Uzi's from the shoulders and lock in the 2 extra ammo clips stored, one stored on the compartment in each leg (300 rounds each), and turn both into hand-held weapons.
Rate of fire: 10 rounds per second per gun; Range: 2000m.
The stream of fire is erratic, so it is inaccurate at range, but VERY powerful up close.

4) Mk X2 Energy Cannon, Air/Space-Cooled
Created by Jace and Dr. Lang, this cannon is much more powerful and compact than it's predecessor, and it's fire can be of almost any volume, and either in burst form, or beam form. The gun is roughly cylindrical, with a handle and a sight on top. It's power matrix is completely internal, and it works just like a gunpod. The interface is via the connections in the handgrip, or by the button-like controls on the side. The cannon, if the pilot wishes, can have the handle folded up, and turned into a bazooka-shaped pod.
The cannon is always charging, unless it is off. When the trigger is pulled, all the energy in stasis in the barrel is released and begins charging until it is fired again. The charger may be turned of and set to 'static mode' to hold the energy at a certain level for an extended amount of time.
Note: This gun can be mounted on the shoulder, or right hand. Can also be stored on any hard point or on the magneto-grip strip on the back down the center between the two secondary engines.

Damage: Pulse form:

Blast form: Beam 2 miles long, 10 meters diameter. (x)d25 +

Anti-Structure: Blast held on target for 15 whole seconds to
excite the structure's particles, followed by a pulse causing the structure to
rip apart from it's core outwards causing the Total Annihilation of the
target. Maximum target size is no bigger than a Zentraedi super
battlecruiser.

Payload: practically unlimited, can
make several hundred full blasts before recharge.

A Blue Lightning Sword
with a black hilt and a power of 3 Megawatts, a beam of pure energy surrounded
by an aura of force.

Can absorb plasma, deflect energy, and tear
apart any other solid that reaches the blade turning it into harmless smaller
chunks. Can even stop bullets etc, depending on pilot's skill and reaction
time.
"Short-Out" is caused when the sword is left
inside of the target (held) in which case it caps all computers, same effective
as a concentrated EMP. Can also have the same effect on an energy force
field, shorting it out after being held in for a few seconds.
Rate of Fire: However often the wielder can move his arm.
Payload: Infinite when not in contact with anything. The power
simply recirculates into the super battery and the bolt comes out again, then
loops and comes back to the battery. Battery drains while in contact with
another object (besides air). Has 5 minutes worth of contact usage before
shutting off and having to be recharged.
Range: Blade is 9 meters long, straight, 20 centimeters wide.
Anti-Plasma Armor: This "skin" of wiry magnetic ducts is spotted with special little magnets that attract plasma energy with great force. Glowing bright green with their energy, the array of anti-plasma magnets suck the plasma into the magnetic ducts and expel it through the end of the duct on the opposite side of the veritech, making it appear to pass through the veritech completely. This is not perfectly effective, for it only sucks about 90% of the energy per shot of plasma, and for bolts and other light-speed bursts of plasma it only grabs about half of the energy.
This armor also works on most lasers, but is ineffective against a cutting L.A.S.E.R.
Lunite-Titanium Armor: The veritech's Lunite-Titanium armor is made of a very dense material found on Luna that makes LASERS harder to hit him with, for they burrow very slowly through the metal. Also deflects any weaponry that does 1 MD or less per hit completely, no damage taken.
Left-Arm Shield: 500 Mega-Damage Capacity, all energy, Lasers, and Plasma weapons, are all deflected off this Metal shield coated with a powerful energy force field, powered by the main power matrix. Any impact weapons take away from the MDC, i.e. Bullets, gauss rifles, force from cannons.
Optional Accessories: Jace's Lunatic TrueForm model has several non-standard options that he has in his hanger, these include:

OPTIONAL Back piece (replaces the Uzi's)
A pair of Scramjet Boosters with missile pods mounted on the back/dorsal
supports.
48 reflex missiles per pod, which each launch a single shot or a volley of 12.
Each volley requires a 3 second lock-on, and does 12d10 MD per volley. A
single missile does 1d10 mega damage and requires only a quick lock. The
missiles are reflex-guided and can easily outmaneuver countermeasures.
The boosters double acceleration of the vehicle, and ONLY work in an oxygen atmosphere. The boosters will only start working when the aircraft is already supersonic, and they allow it to quickly accelerate to speeds of mach 10.5 (7000 miles per hour)

Developmental History:
When the VF-11 was first introduced in to17, in a line of many
experimental concepts, it was narrowly turned down by the REF in favor of the
Alpha and Beta. It was quickly picked up by Neo Lockheed Martin, by wish
of the Lunar Defense Force. The manufacturers, in conjunction with Jace
and Dr. Emil Lang, made their own personal tweaks to the design. The first
working model for the LDF came out around 2019, the VF-11L. This was the
version known as the "Lunatic." They added all the standard E.Q.
for the LDF, including the added thruster packs, and the shoulder-weapon mount
systems.
In early 2020, the ultimate version, the VF/X-11LX
"Lunatic TrueForm" was introduced. The overall flight model had been
enlarged by almost 50%, and the engines had been upped to 2 massive Nakijima
FF-3500 Fusion Turbines as the main engines, and 2 FF-2003's as the secondary
engines. It was a sole production, far too expensive to produce beyond the
prototype. it was coated with stealth armor, similar to the old F-22, but
stronger and laser-resistant, and an anti-plasma system, and to top it off, an
Mk. 2X Energy Cannon, replacing the GU-20X gatling gunpod.
Notes: It has outfitted with several support thrusters to counter the lower gravity of the moon. This adds better traction to the ground in low gravity, and also provides better maneuverability if used right.. Also in this package comes a small filter in the engines to prevent 'moon dust' from clogging up the engines. These engine modifications have been nicknamed the Lunar Pack, or LVP-1X
It also has been fitted with several holographic projectors, just as a cosmetic.
Another feature is it's advanced inertial dampener system, which while not completely eliminating Gee-forces, allows the pilot to take a 35 gee turn as if it was only 3 or 4 gee's.

Variable Aerodynamic Geometry:
Along with the veritech's normal ability to
retract/extend it's nose, this one also comes with full swing wings, replacing
the fixed wings. In swept-back mode, it is able to to fly at very high
speeds with little resistance. With it's wings swept-forward, it is able to
float on air much better and can fly at slower speeds, along with the ability to
maneuver almost 50% more than normal.
Computers:
The Lunatic TrueForm is equipped with a 14 THz. on-board
computer, and a 3 THz backup. Is capable of tracking up to 500 targets at
a time (as if one ever had to track that many). Has the ability to map an
area of 100,000 square miles with extreme accuracy in under than 30
seconds. Is able to transfer data at over 5 gigabytes a minute. The
memory capacity allows it to hold a complete database on any mecha it has ever
come in contact with, or the user has programmed in. There is no real
limit to the data it can hold.
The computer also comes with basic ECMs like comm. jamming and radar scrambling.
